Ballet Huntsville / Academy of Classic Arts

New York born Darlene Colon will be joining the staff and creating a jazz program for Ballet Huntsville / Academy of Classic Arts in their fall season starting August 16th through May 28th 2011. Her stage and choreographic credits include: Dance Captain/ Dancer aboard the Norwegian Cruise Line’s ship “ The Norway”. condensed productions of “Will Rogers Follies”, “Sea Legs Goes to Hollywood”, Oklahoma” and “The Best of Broadway” to name a few. Darlene has instructed for the Alvin Ailey School of Dance for their world-renowned scholarship program as well as Ballet Hispanico in New York City. In addition, she has devoted many hours to teaching dance to blind children through Lighthouse, a charitable organization in NYC.
