DESCRIPTION:Nathifa Dance Company is seeking new faces to enroll in ou
 r performing company and outreach classes as we celebrate the 18th ann
 iversary of NDC performing company's birthday. On September 11th & the
  18th we will have free classes and open house registration with a sho
 wcase performance by members of our company that value and respects th
 e culture of African dance and african drumming. Come learn and experi
 ence how the spirit of the drums leads the dancers by telling many sto
 ries of our ancestors. We aim to build self pride, self confidence, se
 lf awareness and self respect by stage performances and audience parti
 cipation. For 18 years this performing company has helped reach many i
 n the greater Birmingham and the surrounding area as a way of life thr
 ough culture and arts. We welcome ALL AGES male and female. Experience
  drummers are welcome to come and share the energy with us by drumming
  for our classes that will take place on every 1st and 2nd Tuesday and
  Saturday (please check web site for location) It's a time to share an
 d give back into our communities. We aim for a loving enviroment to cr
 eate at all times so if you're looking for a loving family environment
  than we are what you're looking for. It's a very good way to stay in
