The Language of the drum has an ancient healing tradition that speaks through the heritage of many cultures. This workshop is a hands-on percussion experience using rhythms from around the world to understand the universal patterns and playing principles found in all "rhythmcultures".
The basic elements of hand drumming are universal to all Culturally Specific cultures around the world. This workshop is perfect for beginners, but is also an eye opener even for advanced drummers. This "learning how to learn workshop" includes:

About the Instructor
John Scalici is an internationally recognized drum circle facilitator, speaker, musician, clinician, and master teaching artist. He is a certified therapeutic drumming instructor through Youth Villages, Inc. He has brought his dynamic, uplifting programs to Asia as well as the United States. His powerful message of Unity Through Rhythm has been featured at college campuses, churches, corporate events, festivals, and K-College school classrooms. John also works with many corporate groups to facilitate team building events, product launches and campaigns, and leadership retreats.
