Eclectic Dance Company in Concert:

MOVE: Life, Love, Spirituality

ASU Department of Theatre Arts announces the spring concert by Eclectic Dance Company titled MOVE: Life, Love, Spirituality which will be performed Wednesday, February 17 through Saturday, February 20 at 7:00pm nightly.

An exciting mix of dance styles that cover its themes of life, love, and spirituality, this production is truly diverse in its offerings. Student choreography is highlighted, and the celebration of movement through dance energizes the performance in unique ways. Faculty director Mr. Kavin Grant has lead the company of 26 members in building a stylistically thrilling production that is sure to engage audiences.

The show lives up to the legacy of this company that now celebrates its 13th year. Founded by Timothy Ware, who is currently performing on Broadway in the play Kinky Boots, and Ruth Spencer, a dance educator, Eclectic Dance Company (EDC) is home to both BFA/Dance majors and non-majors from across the entire campus.

“When people experience this show,” said Grant, “we hope they will appreciate the many dance styles, the variety of body types, and the different essence of each piece. We want this show to live up to the company name: Eclectic.”

Tickets are available through Ticket Return or at the ASU stadium box office. For more information, contact ASU Theatre at (334) 229 – 6739.
