The Alabama Ballet Summer Program 2011 comprises a four-week intensive workshops for intermediate and advanced students ages 11–19. Alabama Ballet, formed in 1982, is second-to-none in its artistic excellence, is the state’s only professional ballet company, is Birmingham’s second largest performing arts organization and has earned a reputation as a ballet company of national significance. Alabama Ballet also runs the only Royal Academy of Dance Accredited ballet school in the state.
