Professional Profile or Short Bio: I began dancing in 1973 under the guidance of Doria Avila at the Rio Grande Valley Ballet in Texas. Doria's extensive background in original motion picture and musicals such as the "the King and I" and Bells are Ringing" inspired me to develop a lifelong love for the arts. I became a principle dancer with RGVB in the 80's. In 1984 I recieved a scholarship to Southwest Ballet Center in Fort Worth, Texas under the guidance of Bill Martin Viscount. I then attended the University of Texas at Austin, studying ballet, while earning my Pharmacy degree.
