The ADC welcomes a new administrative assistant – Rachel Singletary!

Rachel joins the ADC after an extensive career with Nashville Ballet 2, the Alabama Ballet, and AROVA Contemporary Ballet. She has studied Revolutionary Principles of Movement with Wes Chapman and Cheryl Ale, based on the syllabus of Ruth Petrinovic, and Dance for Parkinson’s Disease with David Leventhal of the Mark Morris Dance Group. Rachel recently completed Zena Rommett Floor-Barre® Technique Certification, first level.  She is on faculty at NS Dance Studio and Beverly’s Dance…

Welcome back to the studio!

Summer break is over and school is back in session! The Alabama Dance Council welcomes everyone back to the studio and shares wishes for a fabulous season of dance.

One ADC member company has been working all summer on an upcoming performance. "Celebration of the Arts" Awards presented on May 24

The Alabama State Council on the Arts will honor eight outstanding Alabamians at the “Celebration of the Arts” awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 7:30 p.m.  The event will take place at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, located at 1 Festival Drive, Montgomery.  A coffee and dessert reception will immediately follow the awards ceremony in the lobby of the theatre. Wes Chapman Joins ASFA Faculty as Permanent Guest Artist in Residence
