The Vulcan Performers of Rhythm N Motion dance will produce their 18th professional dance entertainment event “Summer Storm” on Aug 6, 2011 7pm at the Wynfrey Hotel in the Galleria with a goods drive to benefit Three Hots and a Cot Veterans charity for Homeless vets.
The Vulcan Performers will produce a night of dance exhibitions, art, charity, silent auctions, and a family friendly NY/LA Social Dance Party to follow.
The night will begin at 6pm with free dance lessons including styles for the social dance party to follow the show. There will also be an arts event at 6pm featuring local painters, jewelry design, and other crafts.
There will be a goods drive for Three Hots and a Cot for their two housing locations that provide homes and council for local vets. They are collecting household items such as toiletries, clothes, and general items. For any donations made, Rhythm N Motion will give away a free group class to their Hoover studio. Tickets for the event can be purchased online for $8 at www.bhamdance.com or at the door for $10.
In addition the the Vulcan Performers, exhibitions will include groups such as the Vulcanettes junior dancers, Bham Ballroom Junior Rhythm Team, Fy Swagga Hip Hop, Dance E and other local dance groups. There will also be a special appearance by local Justin Bieber impersonator, Brad Price. Photographer, Brian Farley, will capture action from the show and also the social party.
The Vulcan Performers started five years ago to provide Birmingham with additional dance opportunities and performances for professional styles such as ballroom, contemporary, hip hop, and other unique styles.
They have provided over 100 local dancers with public performances and placed over 250 original choreography works in shows.
They produce four major shows a year including the popular “Naughty or Nice” holiday event first weekend in December and “Anti Valentines” first weekend in February. They teach kids and adult classes at Rhythm N Motion Dance in Hoover, Alabama.
BUSINESSES- Set us a table, advertise on our big screen, or silent auction!
We will set up tables that vendors can use in the pre show/intermission to solicit new business, hand out info, demo, etc.
Prices start at $25 for a sponsor a dance package and range to $75 for a large table! visit www.bhamdance.com and click on the "Summer Storm" link for all details.
There are opportunities to demo your products, pass out info/cards, have an ad on our "Vul-tron" Big Screen, and have our emcee talk about you as a "dance sponsor." We will also place your information on our web site, youtube clips, and facebook group page.
