Alabama State University’s BFA Dance Community Series Session II
Montgomery, AL – Alabama State University's Department of Theatre and Dance proudly announces the BFA Dance Program's 2025 Community Series Session II—an exciting lineup of dance experiences featuring nationally and internationally renowned artists. This series offers free masterclasses and Dance on Screen opportunities for ASU students and the surrounding Montgomery community.
Meet the Guest Artists
Kamaria Roberson – South Carolina Ballet Artist (Ballet & Pointe)
A talented and accomplished ballet dancer and graduate of the ASU Department of Theatre and Dance BFA Dance program, Kamaria Roberson brings her expertise in ballet and pointe. She’s known for her grace and technical precision, and will lead two masterclasses.

Tiffany Rea-Fisher – Artistic Director, Emerge125 Dance Company (Modern)
Mrs. Tiffany Rea-Fisher is the Artistic Director of Emerge 125 Dance Company (formerly Elisa Monte Dance), known for her innovative choreography and commitment to storytelling through movement. Her work has been presented at renowned venues such as The Joyce Theater and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Mrs. Tiffany Rea-Fisher is the Artistic Director of Emerge 125 Dance Company (formerly Elisa Monte Dance), known for her innovative choreography and commitment to storytelling through movement. JaMorris Rivers – University of Alabama Department of Theatre and Dance (Contemporary Ballet & Tap)
A distinguished performer and educator, Mr. JaMorris Rivers is a faculty member at the University of Alabama’s Department of Theatre and Dance. He has an extensive background in contemporary ballet and tap, performing and choreographing nationally. His work emphasizes blending classical technique with contemporary sensibilities.

Germaul Barnes – Artistic Director, Southern Dance Works (Joy Technique)
Mr. Germaul Barnes is a celebrated choreographer, director, and performer with an international reputation. A former principal dancer with Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, he specializes in contemporary Afro-Caribbean movement and has worked with companies in Europe, Africa, and the U.S. As the Artistic Director of Southern Dance Works, he continues to push the boundaries of movement and cultural expression.

Mr. Gartrell has choreographed for major dance festivals, Broadway productions, and international tours. His work is rooted in technical excellence and artistic expression.

All events are offered free of charge, and participants must register for classes, as space may be limited.

This initiative continues ASU's mission of providing high-quality dance education and fostering artistic growth within the community. Participants will have the unique opportunity to train with acclaimed artists, gain insight into professional dance careers, and explore audition possibilities for summer intensives.
