Welcome back to the studio!

Summer break is over and school is back in session! The Alabama Dance Council welcomes everyone back to the studio and shares wishes for a fabulous season of dance.

One ADC member company has been working all summer on an upcoming performance. Notinee Indian Dance Director Pia Sen has transformed Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore’s story of love, magic, and empowerment into a dance drama with narrations in English.  Rumor has it the September 8 show is almost sold out, so get tickets now for Chitrangada, The Warrior Princess. The Alabama Ballet opens their season At Home, with selected highlights from their repertory performed at their studios on 1st Avenue South along the Rotary Trail. Make sure you see the new mural by visual artist Tres Taylor as you approach the studios driving from the east to the west. Huntsville Ballet opens their season with a poignant story from the Civil War era. The now famous letter written by Major Ballou to his wife will be brought to life through dance and live music.
