Alabama Ballet presents Night Dances at the Hoover Library Theatre

From Patsy Cline to Bach to Soul Tunes and more! Energy, excitement and sheer athleticism abound in a mixed repertoire of four, never-before-seen contemporary dance works from four award-winning choreographers. Oregon Ballet Theatre's Anne Mueller (former Alabama Ballet dancer) takes us back to the days of Patsy Cline with her Heartaches and Hotcakes. This fun and flirty piece will entertain audiences young and old. Alabama Ballet's own Roger Van Fleteren's Soul Searching brings ballet and soul music together for a piece that will get you dancing in you seat. Dancer Brandon Ragland's Within Reach promises a contemporary feel to the classic music of Bach. Southern DanceWorks Artistic Director Teri Weksler's new piece is a challenge for the dancers and a delight for the audience.
