Auditions for Junior and Senior Company members for the season beginning September 2009. Junior Company members are 8 and up, with apprentices beginning at age 7. Senior Company members are 12 and up. The Alabama Youth Ballet Company is open to all students who have a desire to dance and a strong commitment to classes. The company performs The Nutcracker, a Spring Dance Concert and various other classical and contemporary performances throughout the season. The mission of the Alabama Youth Ballet Company is to further dance education and bring performance opportunities t0 the community so as to enhance the quality of life, through the arts, to Pelham and Shelby County.Audition fee: $10Audition will be a class for placement.Girls bring pointe shoes if on pointe.
