DEADLINE EXTENDED to April 20, 2009www.americandanceguild.orgAfter great enthusiasm and sold out performances at our Festival in 2008, the American Dance Guild (ADG) continues its mission of serving artists and audiences. For our 2009 Performance Festival, we invite applications from contemporary dance artists of diverse backgrounds, ages and aesthetics throughout the United States and internationally.We are very excited to be holding our festival at the beautiful new Manhattan Movement Arts Theater located at 248 West 60th Street in New York City. This is a terrific space -- 32' x32' performance area, high ceilings, and an audience capacity of 170. Five different programs will be presented during the festival.ADG is dedicated to presenting the range and diversity of expression in current dance art practice and how it interfaces with our historical modern dance roots. This year we will be featuring work by Donald McKayle and Erick Hawkins (celebrating his 100th birthday.)
