Audition Announcement
for 2014-2015 Student Ensemble Program at CDF
This opportunity is open to all students who are in 6th grade and up and have completed at least two consecutive years of Ballet, Jazz and/or Modern dance classes.
CDF’s Student Ensemble Program has a modern dance focus and fosters a well-rounded dance experience by providing dance technique, improvisation, collaboration, choreography and opportunities to perform. Ensemble dancers will attend a weekly Ensemble class and rehearsal in addition to two or more technique classes per week in Ballet, Modern, Jazz or Tap. Ensemble dancers will also have the privilege of working with guest teaching artists.
The Ensemble represents CDF in the community; therefore Ensemble members must make their dance classes and rehearsals a priority in their extracurricular activities.
Fee: Ensemble class and rehearsal will be added to the student’s tuition. An additional yearly fee of $50 is due by October 1 and includes an Ensemble t-shirt and CDF bag.
Ensemble Class September – May: Thursdays, 4:15-5:45
Ensemble Rehearsal September – May: Thursdays, 6:00-7:15
Audition Information:
Thursday, September 4, 4:15-5:45pm / At CDF in Studio 1
Attire: leotard (any color/style), black footless tights or leggings, bare feet. Hair should be neatly secured away from the face in a bun or ponytail.
Students will be notified by letter the following week.
