Audition for Pippi Longstocking, the summer StageDoor Youth Theatre production in Homewood.

WHEN:  Saturday April 16, 3-6pm

WHERE:  The Dance Foundation, 1715 27^th Ct S, Homewood, 35209 (870-0073)

SEEKING:  15-20 actors 4^th grade and up.                             

Students will audition in two groups.  Sign up to audition 3-4:30pm or 4:30-6pm (plan to stay for the entire 90 minutes).   Auditions will consist of group warm-up and improvisation and cold readings from the script.  Audition scripts are available for check out at The Dance Foundation for you to read to help you prepare for the audition.

Rehearsals will be begin on June 1^st and will be Monday-Friday, 9:00am-12:30pm.
Dress/Technical Rehearsals will be June 18-22 at 6 pm.
Performances are June 23, 24, and 25 at 7:30 pm and June 26 at 2:30.

Please note:  A production fee of $225 is required of all actors who are cast in the show, to help cover costs associated with the following:  rehearsal time and supervision, production costs, scripts, two complimentary tickets to the performance, and a souvenir t-shirt for the actor to keep. 

Synopsis:  “On the outskirts of town stands a ramshackle house. It may not seem like

much ’til you peek through the railings…then, there’s a horse on the porch, a monkey

in the kitchen and a freckle faced, red-pigtailed, whirlwind of a girl in mismatched

stockings presiding over all!”  - Plays for Young Audiences
