Are you a dancer looking for an opportunity in Birmingham?
My wife and I are the producers of the Vulcan Performers Professional Dance Organization in Hoover, Al and owners of Rhythm N Motion Dance
We have produced 18 professional shows in Birmingham featuring ballet, ballroom, hip hop, jazz, tap, contemporary, and more---- all adult professional dancers from the Bham area.
We have been featured over 65 times by ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX6, Bham News, Bham Weekly and more!
The group has also made over 150 public appearances in Birmingham in the and has danced in many corporate promotions such as Macy's Galleria, Rave Motion Pictures and more.
The Vulcan Performers are Birmingham's only opportunity for adults (18-35) to produce/dance their own choreography and show multiple styles of dance in Birmingham.
Practices are on various evenings after work. All of our dancers work regular jobs or are in college.
There are occasional weekend events, promotions, practices that are scheduled in advance. Normal practices are Mon and Thur
6 to 9:30pm.
Auditions and the group are FREE---consists of a phone interview, face to face/meet the group, some dancing, etc. There are no "cattle calls" and you don't have to show an
extensive rehearsed dance.
The group is free and there are future opportunities to teach and make money.
We produce four major shows a year. August "Summer Storm," December "Naughty or Nice" Holiday show, February "Anti Valentines", and "VP goes Hollywood" movie themed show in the spring
Group members stay in the group and do not have to re audition. It is not a cast....but a group that stays together and learns together.

For girls- we would like to see very strong training in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, tap, etc
For guys- we are willing to train the right guys, but we like guys with training in dance, showchoir, theater, swing, salsa, hip hop, bboy, etc
