Across the United States through Photography & Painting – Java Lewis & David Murray
David Murray and Java Lewis show a collection their recent paintings and framed photography.
When: Opening, October 23, 6:00-8:00 pm; showing October 23-31.

Rubens Tube: Science + Music + Fire – James Nylen
Bring your music instrument or favorite playlist and jam with James and his Rubens Tube (flame tube) to create multiple visual effects resulting from the relationship between sound waves and sound pressure.
When: October 22-23, 4-7 pm and October 24, 1-4 pm.
Where: East Lake Performing Arts Center, Gallery 1, 7600 block on 1st Avenue North.

Double Take X 2 – Mary Foshee, Rachael Inman, Jean-Jacques Gaudel
The artists invite audience members into a participatory and experimental environment using video, live projections, and movement.
When: October 23, 5:00-7:00 pm and October 24, 5:00-7:00 pm & 7:00-9:00 pm.

The Dance in Public Places Dance Showcase at Estate Liquidators - FREE
Free performances by the Alabama Ballet featuring works by Michael Fothergill and Nadine Barton, a hip hop performance by Mad Skillz Dance Company  and an original contemporary work by Melissa Word.
When: October 24, 5:00-6:30 pm.

East Lake Artist Village Art Insallations and Performances - FREE
Join us at the East Lake Performing Arts Center for a full slate of free art exhibits, installations and workshops, featuring a bracelet making workshop by Rachel Bates, photography and painting by Java Lewis and David Murry, Rubens Tube: Science + Music + Fire by James Nylen, Double Take X 2 by Mary Foshee, Rachel Inman and Jean Jacque Gaudel and Goddess by Amber Orr.
