BUY TICKETS NOW!! All weekend long the Dance Depot features music tailor-made for social dancing! The Dance Depot gives you a chance to bring the music to life with your own dancing energy. There's a tent-covered, 1800-square-foot wooden dance floor, huge box fans, plenty of dance instruction, bleachers, and ice water to keep you swirling and twirling to a great lineup of music and dance styles. Buy tickets before June 15th and the price is only $40! Dance instruction is available throughout the weekend, geared towards beginners — no partners needed! This year's dance lessons include swing, foxtrot, walk the floor, Cajun jig-step, Whiskey River jitterbug, contra dancing, and zydeco. Dance Depot bands (two with Grammy nominations) include Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys, The Latin Rhythms Band, the Joe Giattina Orchestra, Roddie Romero, Herb Trotman, Patton James & the Synchromatics, Kevin Naquin, Leon Chavis & the Zydeco Flames, Lil' Malcolm, and the Alabama Blues Machine. Opening night will also feature a set of electronica with Nastique and DJ Charles III from Bottletree. All dance organizations are invited to bring and leave fliers for the "Dance Information" table at the stage as a way to promote your dance group or dance lessons.
