Come and get introduced to the most popular folk dance of India that has been used in hundreds of Bollywood movies. Learn the basic dance moves that will allow you to be part of the biggest community dance party you have ever seen -- right here in Birmingham, in October! The workshop will be taught by Pia Sen, the director of Notinee, AL's largest Indian fusion dance group.Dandiya Raas is a moderate impact, graceful dance-form that is easy to learn, suitable for men and women and for all age-groups (except really young children). It is hugely popular in big cities of the US. This is the first time a Dandiya Ras workshop is being held in Birmingham itself! This workshop requires absolutely no prior experience in Indian dancing. However, space is limited, so we STRONGLY encourage early on-line registration to ensure your spot, we probably won't be able to accept any walk-ins.
