On August 2 from 11am-12:30pm at The Dance Foundation, Susan Hefner leads a workshop on the largest joints in our bodies - the knees!  Our knees deserve attention and care to stay supported and pain-free. Hefner will teach exercises by renowned anatomist Irene Dowd for balancing the muscles in our knee and neighboring joints. The material can be adapted to many levels of experience in dance and fitness; all are welcome.

Susan Hefner, originally from Birmingham, is a neuromuscular trainer in New York City. She is a former soloist with Nikolais Dance Theatre, a choreographer, performer and movement teacher. Susan has studied intensively with anatomist Irene Dowd, and was a teaching assistant to Irene for 10 years, helping run a dancers’ clinic. She taught anatomy and kinesiology for dancers at Hunter College for 13 years, and has also taught internationally. See www.susanhefnertraining.com.

To register, contact Susan at shefner@pipeline.com. Cost is $30.
