Description
Languages of Love is an entertaining event that begins at 5:30pm with an optional dinner at Birmingham’s local restaurant, Little Savannah. Then beginning at 7:30 at the Birmingham Ballet Performing Arts Centre, The Winery at Pepper Place will host a wine tasting for all guests. At 8:00, a program of romantic ballet works will be performed in the black-box theatre at the Performing Arts Centre. Immediately following the show, a short tango lesson will be given for all audience members.
Maureen Holt of Little Savannah is excited about the event. “Little Savannah is proud to announce our ' True Love' Weekend in February, 2012, in conjunction with the Birmingham Ballet. Start your evening with images shown at Little Savannah Restaurant and Bar from Birmingham Ballet's resident photographer Phil Free, accompanied by a 3 course Pre fix supper prepared by Chef Clifton Holt. An intimate performance and informal tango dance lesson by the Birmingham Ballet will follow at the Birmingham Ballet Performing Arts Centre. Join us for our 'True Love' weekend, Friday and Saturday as we join the best talents Birmingham has to offer, fulfilling your hearts, mind and belly!”
Birmingham Ballet’s Director Cindy Free says, “Exciting and memorable entertainment should stimulate more than one of our senses. We are pleased and honored to partner with Little Savannah as they represent some of the finest dining in Birmingham.”
Celebrate the romance of Valentines Day with Birmingham Ballet as the Repertory Series brings to life enduring classic works including Romeo and Juliet. The program also features works from world-renown choreographer Alfonso Figueroa and a new piece from Artistic Director Cindy Free.
