Nathifa Dance Company is seeking new faces to enroll in our performing company and outreach classes as we celebrate the 18th anniversary of NDC performing company's birthday. On September 11th & the 18th we will have free classes and open house registration with a showcase performance by members of our company that value and respects the culture of African dance and african drumming. Come learn and experience how the spirit of the drums leads the dancers by telling many stories of our ancestors. We aim to build self pride, self confidence, self awareness and self respect by stage performances and audience participation. For 18 years this performing company has helped reach many in the greater Birmingham and the surrounding area as a way of life through culture and arts. We welcome ALL AGES male and female. Experience drummers are welcome to come and share the energy with us by drumming for our classes that will take place on every 1st and 2nd Tuesday and Saturday (please check web site for location) It's a time to share and give back into our communities. We aim for a loving enviroment to create at all times so if you're looking for a loving family environment than we are what you're looking for. It's a very good way to stay in shape. Hey guys you can also take African dance classes on Tuesday nights at the J. Lockhart dance studio. I will be teaching this class but you must register during the month of September. Register by going to www.nathifa.com or call 956-5858
