After seven seasons, founding AROVA Artistic Director /Resident Choreographer Alison Page will pass her role to veteran Choreographer/Dancer Jamorris Rivers (formerly of Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Alabama Ballet and AROVA Contemporary Ballet) at the conclusion of this anticipated May dance event. Rivers, who will move into the AROVA Artistic Director position for season 2014 / 15, will inspire the future of AROVA with a new world premiere featuring the talents of the entire professional company. Audiences will celebrate both the past and present of AROVA with favorite repertoire including a re-imagining of “Heavier than Air” (2013) & Page’s ethereal aerial pas, “Nuit Blanche” (2010).
