staibdance is seeking 3-4 professional/pre-professional dancers to be part of fence for a series of performances at the Alabama Dance Festival, January 17-23, 2022. See video and description below.
We are looking for male and female contemporary dancers, 20+ years old, who move with robust physicality and who are grounded in nuance. Our intention is to fold dancers into three separate sections of the work, merging with our company members.
Dancers should be bold movers who enjoy collaborative efforts, are dedicated to consistent movement research and are secure in themselves as artists.
Dancers will need to be available for the following:
All scheduled rehearsals November 6, 3:00-7:00 PM & November 7, 12:30-3:30 PM.
All scheduled classes, tech, dress rehearsals and performances during the week of Tuesday January 18 – Sunday January 23, 2022.
Dancers will be asked to retain the choreography taught in November, and submit videos of their progress during November, December and January, to receive virtual feedback.
