Celeste Miller and teen leaders from divedance theatre offer a workshop for teachers and youth leaders who work with teens. This workshop offers start up ideas for choreography and methods for developing those ideas. Participants will be introduced to these methods for empowering teens to create choreography that can then be shaped into performance works through a collaborative process between teachers and students. Celeste Miller, choreographer and educator, has been working with these methods for over fifteen years. She formed divedance theatre to give young dancers an opportunity to explore their own art-making, and to develop a methodology for creating their work.
