The Alabama Ballet’s season closes with Ovation, a mixed repertory performance that showcases the artistry and athleticism of the company. The program includes Sechs Tänze (Six Dances) by world-renowned choreographer Jirí Kylián, George Balanchine’s Allegro Brilliante, Laid to Wrest by company dancer and choreographer Michael Fothergill and a premiere by Associate Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer Roger Van Fleteren. Ovation will be The Alabama Ballet’s first production in the new Dorothy Jemison Day Theatre at the Alabama School of Fine Arts.
