Revive is a collection of contemporary dance works, performed by the AROVA Contemporary Ballet (ACB), that celebrates the restoration of Birmingham’s art and cultural vitality. This production will explore the city’s past from selfish ambitions during the heights of the steel and coal era, to its deeply rooted racial tensions and the fall from its former economic glory. It will also uplift and restore the soul to begin anew as the dancers embody the current cultural renewal of Birmingham. Revive is a journey about change and its redemptive quality that in hope awakens the source of one’s imagination.
Guest choreographers include Ashley McQueen, Brandon Ragland, and Michael Fothergill.
Guest artists include students from the Children's Dance Foundation.
