Summer Dance 2010 at The Boston Conservatory
June 21—July 30, 2010
Session 1: June 21—July 9
Session 2: July 12—July 30
Summer Dance 2010 has a wide variety of options for students of dance. From traditional courses in ballet and modern dance to new class offerings in hip-hop and tap. Participants have the option of either a three-week or six-week session and can build their own schedule (up to five courses) for each session.
To be considered full-time, a student must take 3 or more classes per session. All part-time and full-time students must attend their registered classes through an entire 3- or 6-week session and may not pay-by-the class. This summer dance intensive is designed for students, teachers and professional dancers ages 16 and older. Classes are available for credit (.5 per course) or non-credit. Please see tuition details below regarding this option. Class sizes are limited, so enrollment is based on a first-come, first served basis.
In addition to the courses offered, students in the Summer Dance ’10 program have the opportunity to attend special Dance Dialogues, Faculty Dance Traditions lectures and Dance Forums. These free programs were designed especially by Emiko Tokunaga, Artistic Director of Summer Dance, to increase awareness and appreciation of the current trends in dance.
