You are invited to a FREE dance workshop featuring H.T. Chen’s newest work incorporating Body Percussion from Chinese opera movements.Adult and High School dancers at all skill levels are welcome. Space is limited to 30 students. Please email David Callaghan - CallaghanD@montevallo.edu to confirm your attendance.Ms. Dian Dong, Assistant Director of the H.T. Chen Dance Center in New York, and Kimberly Prosa, on the dance faculty of the Center School will be instructing this workshop. Their bios are on the website: www.chendancecenter.org.The workshop will consist of a modern dance warm-up based on the company’s style, which blends traditional dance and the martial arts. The students will be taught a movement phrase from H.T. Chen's newest work that is being presented in Birmingham May 4-9, 2009.
