The 2021 UA Dance Alumni Weekend, hosted by the Dance program at The University of Alabama from 10/14-10/16. We look forward to welcoming you home here at The Capstone for this memorable experience. Building and maintaining meaningful relationships with students and alumni is important for the strategic growth of UA’s Dance program. The 2021 Alumni Weekend aims to promote professional acquaintances between current UA dance majors and alumni.
The following information will provide more context about the events surrounding the UA Dance Alumni Weekend.
CLASS BLOCKS
Class blocks are still available by request to any alumni member who is interested in teaching movement classes during the alumni weekend. Please complete the Qualtrics survey to request a class block.

INFORMAL CONCERT
The informal concert is open to any alumni member who is interested in presenting dance films and/or live choreographic works. For dance films and live performances, please submit a description and/or link of your work to Bria Tyner (bjtyner@crimson.ua.edu) by September 29, 2021.

TRIBUTE TO JAMARIOUS STEWART
In tribute to Jamarious Stewart, Professor Emeritus Cornelius Carter will be choreographing a work to be performed at the informal concert Friday, October 15th. This tribute is open to any interested alumni (see Qualtrics survey). Rehearsal will take place Thursday, October 14th 3:30-6:00pm in Clark Hall.
STATEMENT OF COVID-19
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, specific health and safety standards are in place to minimize exposure and community spread on campus. Face masks are required inside all non-residential campus buildings, including all classrooms and academic buildings, and on campus transportation.
