Alabama Youth Ballet Theatre is a 501c3 non-profit, pre-professional ballet company located in Huntsville, Alabama. We offer two main shows each year, The Nutcracker, A Yuletide Ballet in December, and a Fairytale Ballet in the spring. AYBT is also very active in the local community. We offer scholarships for students to attend ballet intensives and classes, perform and teach during local family friendly events, and take the art of dance into classrooms through our program, The Dance Connection.

June 7-19, 2010 Intermediate and Advanced Ballet Intensive with Luba Gulyaeva. Luba Gulyaeva graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in the former Leningrad, USSR. At the school she was assistant to A.Y. Vaganova and danced professionally as a soloist with the Kirov Ballet from 1972 to 1979. Since coming to this country she has taught at various schools in the New York area including the American Ballet Theater School during the tenure of Baryshnikov as director and at the School of American Ballet. Ms. Gulyaeva is presently ballet mistress with the New Jersey Ballet and is in great demand as a guest teacher at workshops throughout the country. Artistic Director David Herriott will teach Modern Rep. and Partnering.
