Heidi Nicole Stoeckley is a former professional dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company,
where she performed soloist roles internationally. She is a recipient of The Martha Hill Prize, an
award given to the top graduate of The Juilliard School.
Stoeckley is featured in numerous publications, including the DVD For Dancers: The Alexander
Technique, the PBS Television production American Masters on Juilliard, a documentary film on the
Martha Graham dance technique entitled La Voz Del Cuerpo/ The Body Speaks, John Deane's
photography album Acts of Light: Martha Graham of the 21st Century, VOGUE Magazine, The
New York Times and Dance Magazine, among others.
Stoeckley served as Professor of Modern Dance and Choreography at Singapore's School of the
Arts (SOTA) from 2010-2014, and more recently as Artistic Director of The Dance Foundation in
Birmingham, Alabama. She holds an MA in Arts Administration from Columbia University.
Currently, Stoeckley owns and directs Edgewood Dance, LLC, an international dance institute, in
Birmingham, AL. She is also co-owner of the metal arts foundry Birmingham Sculpture, LLC.
