- In the Birmingham area, I began taking dance classes at age 4 and a little later progressed into gymnastics. After cheering from 7th-12th grade while choreographing dances then and into college, I continued to study the styles of jazz and hip hop. When my husband and I moved to Jacksonville, Florida, I performed with a hip hop crew and studied under various hip hop and break dance artists. Locally, I founded and choreographed for a local semi-pro dance team and have taught hip hop classes for a studio.
